Play petanque, swim, cook over an open fire, chill on the beach or try water sports on the South Funen Archipelago (we rent out sea kayaks, sit-on-tops and SUP-boards). During the season we also have activities like yoga (by the shore), forage walks, music and other fun stuff.

Visit the cute harbor in Faldsled, check out the quaint roadside stalls or visit one of the local eateries.

Nature & outdoor

If you enjoy the active outdoor life and nature, there’s plenty of stuff to do – beautiful beaches and forests, mountain biking, angling, hiking on the Archipelago trail, a trip to Svanninge Bakker or Bjerge, tree climbing or horse riding.

Charming Faaborg

In about 10 minutes you can reach one of Denmarks’ oldest market towns. During summer the hollyhocks bloom on a backdrop of the colorful half-timbered houses, and besides cafés, restaurants, shops with cool stuff and summer activities, there’s Øhavsmuseet, Faaborg Museum, the iconic church tower, and Faaborg Harbor. Gourmet experiences

Falsled Kro, local eateries, local produce, vineyards, beer, fine spirits and chocolate. Funen has lots of (tasty) things to explore. It’s hard work, but someone must do it… see www.smagenaffyn.dk for more info.

Egeskov Castle

If the kids need to blow off some steam, a trip to Egeskov Castle might be just the right thing – about 25mins in the car will take you to the castle, where you’ll find huge playgrounds for all ages, a museum for vintage vehicles, the castle garden, a café and restaurant, fun and good times, and a lot of activities during the season.

Design and vintage

Whether you enjoy antiques, crafts or flea markets, there’s something for you in South Funen. Throughout the summer season you can find flea markets, and nearby local skilled crafters and designers make everything from jewelry to ceramics and elfs.

Odense & Svendborg

If the city life is calling you, it’s possible to reach funky Svendborg and classical Odense in about 40mins. In Svendborg you can experience the harbor, charming, cobbled streets and Naturama. In Odense you can visit the childhood home of H. C. Andersen or taste the flavors of the world at Storms Parkhus, that’s filled with delicious street food.
